I was working on a project and company came so I closed my laptop computer to move it to a different room. (I was on the internet when I closed it) Usually, when I close my laptop without turning it off, it puts the computer into sleep mode. This time when I opened the laptop, it did not come back on. I have tried opening and closing it but nothing is happening. Any ideas?

Unplug it from power, wait a couple of
minuets, and try again.

That's why I never put it in sleep mode,
or hibernate.
I keep it in, closing of the Lid, cuts It off.

Do you remember how long you had it
set to sleep? Maybe it will wake up.

And Im assuming of course you already tried plugging it in and turning it back on? Or take the battery out and put it back in? My laptop settings are the same, where if I close it and open it back up, everything will still be there I left it. But..depending on how many programs were running when you closed it and how much memory your laptop has..theres a chance you may have blew a circuit inside of it. I'd suggest calling the manufacturer's customer service to see if they have further suggestions..and/or bringing it in to Geek Squad at Best Buy to have them check it out.

Check your power supply in your new room, if its ok, removed your battery, and connect you laptop to ac adapter, it should on, when you press the power button, otherwise you might have problem with DC Jack connector, which is common to laptops if accidentally pulled the plug improperly..

Check also if somebody has the same battery of yours, then check if it works or not, this you will know if your battery is ok..

You can try your resume key if you know where that is on your keyboard. I have blue icons on my Function or F2-F12 keys that do some of these functions, but it depends on your laptop. As another option, you can unplug your battery from the bottom and then reconnect it and it should reboot your computer.
