they found it 3 weeks later, ( I think)..they hired a car 3 weeks later. if the McCanns are supposed to have put their little girl in the boot/ trunk of the car.... after 3 WHOLE weeks, there were extensive searches, how on earth did they hide the body? we are presuming to have hidden a body so well in a place they had only been in for a couple of weeks...I seriously have my doubts..... I seriously think the sniffer dogs they had from the next day she went missing would have detected a scent....even more so after a week and even more after 3 weeks. The only thing that smells fishy to me is this story... I want madeline as much as the next person to be found. please give me your views on this, am I wrong? I have to mention i dont live in the uk.....so I dont get to see the news and hear whats happening as much as the British.

I think everyone's having a hard time with this DNA in the car - mainly because NO-ONE except the Portuguese police actually knows what the situation is with it.

THere has been so much speculation on here and in the media that I don't know whether I'm coming or going. How can any of us presume to many any assumptions at all when we just don't have a clue what's true and what's not. I have to stop trying to figure it out as it's a total braind drain now.

I think the Portuguese police are looking for an escape route because they still do not have any proof. If Maddie touched her mums handbag for example and Kate placed the handbag into the hire car boot, Maddies DNA will be in the boot. That is a fact. How would they have managed to move a body with so many cameras on them 24/7? I don't believe they are guilty.

For me a vital question is that if the Mc Canns did not hire the car until three weeks after WHO the Hell had it out on the night MAddy went missing!! Hire cars are not always cleaned out well between jobs, one I had last week still had a cigarette in the ashtray - there would have been DNA on that !! and by the way I am not suggesting that Madeleine smoked and left a butt behind!!

You are correct...It is misdirection. The police failed miserably in the initial investigation and now they are behaving like the crime is solved by proxy. This is no doubt a difficult case to watch....While we all wonder what happened to that little girl. I cannot fathom what the "players" are going through while the world guesses, or even pushes ideas at us from all angles. This will be another unsolved mystery untill years from now someone will confess...years of blame will maybe someday be answered in the most average way. Then we will suffer these hopes once again.

i think of there are 19 or 20 ellels in a strand of DNA, the greater ellels in undemanding the lots greater probable that that's that man or woman. interior the case of the McCann woman the DNA exchange into extremely degraded, that is completed via cleansing of the boot, with bleach or yet another sturdy kin cleanser. besides, they have been in basic terms able to locate 15 of the ellels and that they matched to Maddies DNA, so it is not seen a a hundred% tournament, yet is sufficient to forged severe suspision, that she exchange into in some unspecified time interior the destiny in that motor vehicle. Seeing because of the fact the motor vehicle exchange into rented 25 days after she went lacking, it sort of feels peculiar that there could be something in there, particularly blood. Hair or pores and skin helpful, yet blood, because of the fact of this they're treating it the way they're. And for you people who think of there ought to have been greater to locate if she exchange into in there, do you think of they could have wraped her tightly in plastic or another non-porous cloth, initially to conceal the scent, and secondly to maintain each and every thing contained. i do no longer understand in the event that they did it, i'm merely speculating, yet some issues do make me advance my eyebrow and stroke my chin.

don't give yourself a hard time this story has so many holes it can not be right the police are trying to cover themselves
as they never conducted the search in the right way as for Maddie being in the car boot sounds to far fetched for 3 weeks in a hot country no way as long as the Portuguese
have a British suspect they are happy sloppy police work from day one i hope for the MC Cannes find answer soon and not just theories but dam the person/s who have taken this child away from her loving parents and may their days be long and their nights longer god pays debts without money

lynn I dony think for a minute that they hid their daughters body. In a country with that climate they dispose of the bodies quickly because of the heat. Can you imagine after three weeks the state it would be in? Unthinkable. Unimaginable.
In my mind eye, I can imagine Maddie roaming outside after
waking up and someone who she knew said 'come on Maddie I'll take you to mommy and daddy'. Then taking her off somewhere. This would explain why the twins were left.

My friends litle boy who is six years old, innocently went up
to his mum the other day and said 'mom, that Maddie is down a drain' it put shivers down our spine. But made us think also. Minxy.

Apparantly the dna found in the car was from the twins. The McCanns threw everything they had into the boot of the car when they left the apartment. It was from 'soiled' nappies that the bodily fluids were found. The Portugese police have mad a complete disaster of this investigation from day 1. I do not or ever hasve doubted they had anything to do with it. Its all speculation. In fact if it is proven that they done anything I will personally eat my hat. !!!!!!!

Yes, they would have to keep the body in refrigeration!
I mean it is a hot country!
But how did her DNA get in the wheel well?
Apparently they are not going to question the McCanns again, well in the foreseeable future, anyway!

Don't believe anything you read. We are all confused about the dna now. According to the papers the dna is from the sweat of maddies sandals and maddies hair is from maddies dirty pyjamas but it isn't maddies dna now...it's the twins dna cos they had dirty nappies in the back of the car as well. The dogs smelt death in the car boot because Kates clothes from work (a month or so earlier) were also in the boot. I feel this family have serious washing issues ( Nothing of this family seems to get cleaned!! (unless it is a cuddly toy which would smell strongly of your missing daughter)
