I think that they're actually small, anti-gravity field generating packs. But the ancients, unable to comprehend such devices, drew them as 'wings' to convey the concept that they allowed them to 'fly' because that was their only reference point to explain such a 'miracle'. If you could fly, you had to have wings. So they drew them that way.

First, I know nothing about the realm they inhabit -- except that they live there and that it is called heaven, a place where spirits -- beings not in our realm -- exist.

We are told that God is light, we are told he has a spirit body, we are told there is no variation in the shadow as it turns (in regard to God) -- this leaves me knowing that I know nothing!

Thus do angels have wings? Can they fly? Big Yes! Is that what the Bible is telling us? Or, do they have real wings with which to fly? I have no idea?

And, that is my idea -- that I am totally ignorant if their wings are real or virtual. Still, they can fly. It seems that their speed is perhaps limitless.

This was a question I asked my father when I was about 12 years old.
Dad, do angels have real wings?
Yes.
Do they have feathers?
What? Feathers?
Yes, you know the kind that help birds fly in the air. Do they have feathers for flying?
Yes, I guess they do. (he looked puzzled)
Then they have the same type of air in Heaven as we do here on earth?
Feathers. Just shut up. Angels have feathers and that is that.

So much for the spirit of inquiry which he otherwise had in abundance. I got it from him. I really wanted to know and was surprised at his anger. I learned about intellectual dishonesty.

Hi:

If angels actually exist, they probably do not have actual wings like birds. This is probably one of the chimera type blended fantasy creatures first conceived in antiquity like a griffin, or centaur. I think 'angels with wings' comes originally from the archaic religion Zoroastrianism. Hope this helps.

Angels are your spiritual guardians, they could have wings or they could not have wings, im sure it depends on the way they want to present themselves to you, if they want you to know of their presence at all.

Everyone has spiritual guardians watching over them at all times, no matter what you believe.

Old souls probably have more powerful spiritual presences then new souls with their angels or guardians.

If you would call them angels at all.
