Seems I've won the BMW e-mail Lottery for 650,000 GBP. This is either an elaborate scam or a legitimate bank.

No, what you really have is a letter from a scammer. It's a legitimate bank, but they aren't involved in the email or in the lottery.

If you respond, the sender of the email will tell you that you have to send them some kind of fee to claim your prize. If you send it, you'll be out that money. There isn't a prize, Just delete the email.

The phony "lottery" emails are one of the most common scams around these days. I get one a couple times a week usually.
