ok it has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE COLOUR..sheeez...

they are both tree frogs but the white tree frog is south american and the green tree frog is chinese. They are related species with little difference in appearance. White tree frog's skin is slimier and changes colour from brown, green, and dark green.
Also white's tree frog grows bigger
its like saying whats the difference between a labrador and a labrador retriever!

Harold is correct regarding what species those common names refer to in North America. Just to confuse things further, the White's tree frog is called the Green tree frog by people in Australia.

There are no white tree frogs but there is a" White's Tree Frog". Size;2-4ins; Occurence; NE Australia and S New Guinea. Reproduction; Lays eggs in water in summer. Remarks;The skin of White's Treefrog contains compounds that are antiviral and antibacterial. One of these compounds is known to reduce the blood pressure in humans.

Green Treefrog;Size. 1 1/4-2 1/4; Occurence; USA in woods;Reproduction; Lays eggs in water in the spring. Remark; It is a colloqually known as the rain frog because it calls before and during wet weather.

Perhaps a green tree frog is colored green and a white tree frog is colored white. Seems like a reasonable explanation to me.

its actually whites tree frog. they look very similar to the red eyed tree frogs commonly found in australia. Whites tree frogs have more silvery eyes and from what i've seen change colour depending on humidity and temperature.

do you mean `whites tree frog`.if so they tend to be larger than the other `green` tree frogs.hope this helps
