Is it still difficult to rent again? The story is it was a month to month agreement and I told them that I would be a month late on rent because I didn't have enough to cover, and then I said are you going to evict me because if you are I will just put in a 30 days notice now. At which point the apartment manager assured me that was not the case, and then a few weeks later I got an eviction notice. Can I file an appeal or anything like that? This was two years ago, and I am now moving out with my boyfriend. His credit is good, so I don't know if mine will matter since he has great rental history as well. I don't know what to do and I am stressing about it. Any help/advice is appreciated. Thanks

it means you will have an eviction come up if the new landlord runs a background check but at the same time if you stayed at the unit for two more years after the notice it may be in your benefit

Did you actually go to court over the eviction? Or was this just a notice sent to you? Chances are this isn't on your credit report. It might not even show up on that rental report that landlords use.

If your boyfriend's history is good, quit worrying.

unless he reported it to the credit bureaus, it won't show up on your credit report, but if you use the landlord as a rental reference - he may tell the new landlord if asked. If it happened 2 yrs ago, I wouldn't worry about it too much
