This is an ongoing question. Can anyone tell me why there is no technology that can asses whether such a monster is present in the lake and somehow track it's movements? surely there must be an answer to this question.

Yes it is possible...the Loch has numerous caverns and underground pasages to other lakes and it is near impossible to search . Underwater exploration is next to space travel in difficulty and somethings are even more difficult (such as the pressure) Although I doubt the animal is a 4 million year old dinosaur, it may be a direct descendant

There IS new whiz-bang technology that may well find "Nessie" if the creature(s) is in Loch Ness. Given the fact new pre-historic aquatic species---thought to be long extinct---are being discovered today, I feel we'll get a good look at a "Nessie", suspected of being a pleidasaur ( I know I misspelled the word there).

After all: we now know Giant Squid does exist.....

At this point - the Loch Ness monster is purely a thing of legend & myth. It's unlikely that such a creature exists ... however nobody can say with ABSOLUTE certainty. (I don't think it's real)

The lake is too deep & murky for sonar to detect all the way to the bottom... and nobody's really taken the time to send submersable robot-subs through the ENTIRE lake to examine every possible nook & cranny. (Not to mention, they're trying to track a mythological moving creature)

i think it can exist because if it does it is probably just a dinosaur that survived and bred at the bottum of lake loch ness

Well no one can be sure really. Is is possible for them to exist. This is because when the dinosaurs died out some dinosaur like animals still survived, like crocodiles - so why not a sea creature. If they did exist they would be sighted more often because there would have to be more than one because one creature can't last millions of years...

Well i hope that helped you make up your mind. I dont think anyones really sure...

They've done sonographs of the loch and found no conclusive evidence supporting the existence of "Nessie".
