We are never completely satisfied, only satisfied for a given amount of time. Once the effect wears off, we long for more.
Also, satisfying one need or want opens up another void to fill as people will find other needs and desires to be sated. Also, our imaginations come into play as we look to CREATE such things that others may potentially desire. This perpetual cycle is what drives us to continue on living.

Yeah, it is possible to be 100% satisfied when we are "in the moment". When we start thinking from too many angles, that's when dissatisfaction can set in, because we end up also thinking about what we wish was there. Eg. imagine being in the arms of someone you love (provided it's something you truly value and love). And just focus on that moment. Won't you be 100% satisfied.

Yes. The problem is the expectation to experience this through time.
I can feel satisfied after eating a meal. However, hunger may return later. Once again, I can eat and the feeling of satisfaction will then return. The process is the same regardless of what is wanting and being fulfilled.

Yes, of course you can. We as Americans are always told that we cannot be satisfied with anything. Don't buy into that. I have been 100 % satisfied with most things. Choose your Battles well, and you should be satisfied most of the time

A man who is perfectly temperate, in Plato's sense of the word, would be satisfied. He would still get thirsty and drink, hungry and eat, reproduce his kind, but all in accordance with what is just and right for the whole.

In all likelihood, no.. That's the entire Buddhist point..
You're never truly satisfied.. Essentially, you always want one step more.. You always think, "alright, if i had That, i'd be happy".. when you reach That, you always want something else..
The ideal is to extinguish the flame of desire.. To stop wanting.
Very crudely put.

Nope. My reasoning is that everyone is insecure to one extent or another. We are insecure with who we are, we are insecure about having enough. We are insecure about the way we are perceived by others. This insecurity leads to fear. The fear of not being good enough, not having enough, not being loved enough... That leads to greed, wanting more stuff, more attention, more "love" but having more always comes at the expense of others. So they are unhappy in order for us to achieve our happiness.
But this is neither here nor there so have a nice day.
