I just had a premature baby girl, I was 23weeks pregnant, my baby will be in the hospital until December, she just had a heart surgery and I will need to stay home with her until she turns one, she will need extra care and I have disability until October 25th. Do you know of anyone that works from home and makes decent money? Like insurance claims processing or something like that? Thanks, Laura

Just don't do anything that is MLM. They will put you in the poor house and demand more of your time than a full time job.

Try Ebay. I have sold lots of things on it and made pretty decent money. First, take a look around your home for things you no longer use. Take friends and familys hand me downs. All you need is a computer and decent digital camera, (mine cost under $100. and works great. Once you sell that 1st item and get the money in the mailbox for it, you really start to get on a roll. With Ebay, you control the hrs. and money you make and can make money while you are holding your little one and even in your pj's. Don't think that you don't have anything to sell, because you would be amazed at some of the things that will sell on there...start with your little ones outgrown clothes and go from there....Good Luck and have faith and everything will work out just fine. I too stayed home with my baby because I chose too and I had to cut back on a lot of things, but I made it!

I hear ya Laura. I did find at least one legit company. I have an interview with them on Thursday. It's called Alpine Access. I think their site is www.alpineaccess.com
Basically what th job is, is being a Customer Service Representative for a company that they are the agent for.
So, you'd be on the phone and stuff, a lot and you MUST have DSL or Cable Modem and a land line no vonage. Also, they require you to be able to work at min. 20 hrs/week.
Good luck, and you and your daughter are in my prayers.

My son was a preemie and I returned to work when he was about 16 months -old (He was born at 29 weeks). As long as you have the RSV vaccine for your baby every month through cold and flu season, and you and other family members get flu shots (You would be priority due to her being a preemie), you could be a nanny. I watch two kids in my home. You could require that the parents get flu shots for their children.
