When I went to the post office a while ago, I saw a rather elderly grey haired gentleman driving past me. His license plate read "Grumpa" and it made me smile. Have you seen any amusing plates lately?

Today, after slowly reaching position of fifth or sixth car in
a line of traffic on a two-lane country road with little idea of why we were travelling so slowly, the first car in line pulled over to the side of the road and the rest of us proceeded past it. In my rear window, I checked to see if it pulled out behind us right away and then noticed the plate; TENSE1.

If we're talking about bumper stickers, my all=time favorite would be the one I saw ten years ago on the cab window of an antique pick=up truck on a back road in North Carolina. It said, "If it's tourist season, why can't I shoot 'em?"

i see them all the time, can't remember any right off hand except for --- 1ABET --- pretty self explanatory --i know the woman that drives it and she really did win it in a card game

i've always wanted to get one, but BASSETFREK is taken here in Illinois - they told me i could add numbers with it, but it just wouldn't be the same. plus now that good old jesse white has raised all of our fees, not sure i could afford it. $78/yr for a little sticker to put on my 10 year old license plate is bad enough

I too was on my way to the post office, really!
I was stuck behind a sports car that was going 5 miles UNDER the speed limit, the plates read "FFAST"! I laughed so hard my sides hurt!

Oh my gosh...LOVE reading them...
I see so many on my commute every day (really breaks the monotony of traffic jams to look for them!)....since I live at the beach, seems like everyone wants one that something about the beach...I've seen "BCHGRL"..(beach girl).."SANDYTOES"...on a realtor's car "DRTSLLR" (dirt seller)...my Mom has "T-Mom" on hers (for Turtle Mom..she is a volunteer every year for the state sponsored sea turtle nest watchers...these are people who make sure the sea turtle nests are not disturbed and the little ones have a fighting chance to make it to the water when they hatch...We live in coastal NC by-the-way)...
And on my 1964 Corvair...(I rarely drive it)..."THXRALPH"..
(Thanks Ralph)...You have to understand about Ralph Nader and his book "Unsafe at any Speed" to "get" it!

Several come to mind over the years. One from California which belonged to a doctor who was a urologist:
"PP MD"
Another belonged to a young lady who had apparently gotten her car loan from First Interstate Bank:
"IO FIB"

Well, I actually have a personalized plate on my truck. It's not really a funny one, but it helps advertise my business. I'm an artist. It says DRAW4U.
