One source says one thing and the other something else. I just read an article 5 minutes ago saying Kate was glad they were re interviewing her in England so she can spend time with the twins.

In the absence of any official announcements by the Portuguse police on the subject the tabloid press machines have gone into overdrive with nothing more than speculation and opinions of "experts". There has been so much rubbish about this case printed now it is impossible to tell where the truth begins. Madeleine sells papers, and certain newspapers will print anything which other newspapers report as hard fact. Frankly, I don't know what to believe.

If this case had happened in the UK, the parents would have been the first suspects, questioned and eliminated first before looking at any other lines of inquiries. After all, a very high percentage of murders/rapes/kidnaps etc are committed by family or people known by the victim. True cases of murder by a complete stranger are very rare indeed. The parents should have been questioned first, not as an afterthought. The whole thing has been run very incompetantly, and is fast turning into a giant media circus. I just wish they'd find her dead or alive, punish the guilty and then we can all move on. This has all dragged on far too long.

I agree " michael w "... The McCanns did no longer ignore their infants and did no longer take one hour to call the Police. i'm commencing to have self assurance which you recognize extra on the subject of the case than the PJ, LOL. Your help of the McCanns is slightly too irrational so you may well be completely harmless. that is needless to say rubbish yet you're difficult a super type of those with your irrational loyalty for those 2. that is impossible which you may nicely be that dependable interior the easy of each little thing we've found out on the subject of the McCanns and the case.... except of course you're freemason your self. Now... that is a concept, michael !!! What hotel, michael ? you besides mght 'forgot', michael, that when the Portuguese Detectives visited Britain and interviewed the acquaintances, the two McCanns fled to Brussells, michael !!!

There are many different reports including (as someone said above me) Kate being glad she was going to be interviewed in England; the McCanns saying they would go back at any time; the DNA experts and PJ being certain of their case; and the McCanns' relatives and PR teams saying that there is no case. Again, this is media speculation, especially considering that the Portuguese press are telling a different story. The trouble with the press is that you never get the whole truth in a situation.

It's only breaking news for the next few minutes.

No one can truly say what is going on in this case, as we are not personally involved, and all of the media coverage has not made anything any more clear.

What is clear is that the investigation has been a complete mess from day one. What police department would have allowed the primary scene of the crime be rented out to other people? What happens to securing the crime scene and having it completely investigated and cleared?

Whatever supposed evidence was found in the rental vehicle, does not make any sense either. They cannot prove that the blood/DNA evidence was Maddie's...they do not have the equipment available to prove or disprove which child of the family it belonged to. This has not advanced the case, and more importantly; has not helped in finding Maddie, or finding out if she is still alive.

No matter what, the child is still missing; that is what needs to be concentrated on, not all this ridiculous nonsense being put forward in the media.

I do not believe that the Portuguese police have known what they were doing from day one, and now every move is a desperate attempt to cover up that fact. I am not trying to insult anyone, they should have been able to ask for assistance from some other law enforcement agency for example, even Scotland Yard.

I do know that this family has to be suffering through agonies beyond belief, and nothing other than finding Maddie is ever
going to change that.

I can only pray that there is a break in this case, for the family who is suffering.

I also continue to pray for all families who have to endure similar horrific losses, in order that they find their loved ones, and some sense of closure to their loss.

The papers and media have a hell of lot to answer for. According to one source Kate is being interviewed by police in UK and accordding to others she isn't being interviewed. Some media say there is no way the dna could have been transferred and others state how it was transferred, then Kate and Gerry are going to return to Portugal every 2 weeks then they have no plans to return there in the near future. Why can't just the facts just be made public instead of all this hearsay. It's getting worse I swear and it seems the media who are forgetting about little Maddie now and steering the news around the Mccanns themselves.

My advice to everyone, is wait and see what happens. The last time it was reported, the Portuguese police was coming to the UK to ask the 40 questions Kate McCann refused to answer.

It would seem that way, if they had evidence to charge the parents like everyone thought they would a week or so ago, they would not reopen this line of enquiry. I am pretty sure that if there was a sufficient amount of evidence proving that the parents were involved, they would not have started looking into the abduction again. I could be wrong, who knows.

It certainly makes one wonder, a millionaire becomes involved in the case, on their side, they have friends in high political positions ( even the highest). the words that spring to mind are "bungs"and political pressure. Justice must be done !

It just means that there would be no point in requestioning them. It doesn't change anything else. I mean what would be the point they are not going to change their stories at this late stage. The PJ has already questioned them enough to feel that they are the main suspects.
