I sold a car on ebay on Monday just gone, and I have heard nothing from the buyer(I sent the invoice etc)- I have looked at his ID and it says he has been a member since dec 2005. BUT it also states he is from France and he has no feedback as he has brought nothing from ebay before?!?! I think I have been done over!
I do have somebody else interested in the car but how long do I leave it before I can go through with this other sale? Also ebay have added it up that for selling the car through them and meeting the reserve price of £45, BUT I havent even got any money, how do I tell ebay this and will they give me any money back or not take it full stop? This is my first time selling anything on ebay, and I dont think I will again! Thanks for your help folks!

Report it as a non-paying bidder, eBay will let you auction the car again at no cost. It happens a lot I'm afraid. If you have any other probs go through eBay arbitration, they'll sort it out.

you have to file a non paying bidder dispute, and after 7 days if they haven't responded you have to close the dispute and ebay will give you your fees back. Go on to the help page and have a look, as it can be confusing, you can't open the dispute until 7 days after the auction has finished.

Message your buyer, I think you can send a reminder after 3 days make sure you do it as this solves complications later.

If there is no response I would just go with your other buyer. I had this happen to me then you can file a NPB etc

I think you have to give seven days before you file a non payment arguement. You could send the "buyer" a message, dont be arguementative, just say "i haven't heard from you, hope there's no problem" inform him you have someone else interested and it wouldn't be a prob for him to back out...usually they respond straight away.

When you inform ebay, they will write to him too and again you have to wait so many days to allow him to reply or ignore them.

For future reference, close your auctions for overseas bidders....avoid the hassle.

File a non paying complaint against buyer.
They will email him, to encourage him to contact you to sort it out.
If no luck, they flag him with a non paying mark, and refund the fees
You can then offer car to anotehr on Ebay via 2nd chance, or elsewhere
