Hmmm....let's see. We will start out with some spanakopita. I make a good one. And then for dinner we will have souzoukakia and patates tiganites! And of course the requisite xoriatiki salata.

To begin with, fried vegetables with balsamico (originale da Modena), with a touch of grana, accompanied by bruscette flavoured with onion and garlic, a divine caprese with fresh basil, pasta al (hand made) pesto or alle melanzane, e pesce alla Siciliana covered by aromatic herbs and tomato. All served with a Turcany Chianti (18 c temperature). Ending with panna cotta and amaretto.
Music? An assortment of brani from Rossini's Operas (he was a great cook too).
Leonarda, your ideas for questions are great....

Hmmmmmmm now some people might get mad coz I can't remember their names to invite them all.
Ok here we go:
For Irmak lamb shishkebap and hummus.
For İpek, leeks with lamb feet (a delicacy here), rice pilav
For Leonarda 'hunkar begendi', (the Sultan liked it, so did I)
For earthling Adana kebap and acılı ezme (hot red peppers crushed with onions)
For Pelin fillet mignon avec créme de champignon.
There will be Cyprus wines to accompany the dinner.

edit: dellarovere, why don't you taste the artichokes ipek has cooked for you?

hello my friend.
well it depends on which contact of mine i would invite.
if it were a person my age than of course ti would be sth with pizza or anything as we say "dirty"
now if i were to invite someone that i havent seen before and i dont know his her tastes i would have a variety.
lets say lazania maybe some pastitsio. or crepes i guess.we never forget the greek salad with feta cheese etc
and for desert i would recommend some greek mpaklava or those traditional cakes with lemon etc

Make a traditional Italian pizza. Buy a good bottle of wine and make an Italian vanilla ice cream. Bonno appetito senora.

Hmm, your brother is vegetarian, so I'd make vegetarian dishes, although my specialty is Hunkar Beyendi. Well, I'd make either an italian risotto or ic pilaf with mushrooms and raisins, or penne with home-made pesto, and chocolate souffle for dessert. I'd serve gewurstraminer wine with the risotto and Moscato d' Asti with the dessert.
