Ok, lets do some math.
Lets say the baby drinks 2 oz every 2 hours for 1 month = Appx. 720 oz
4 oz every 3 hours for the next 3 months = 2880 oz
6 oz every 3 hours for the next 3 months = 4320 oz
Then you start solids (which is not part of the formula cost, so I will leave out that) I only mention casue you might start to use a bit less formula.
6 oz every 4 hours for months 8 and 9 = 2160 oz
8 oz every 6 hours for 10-12 = 2880
That gives you a grand total of 12,960 oz of formula used in a year. Lets also say that a can of powder formula is $12.00 and makes 84 oz.
12,960 oz total devided by 84 oz per can = 154.28 cans.
There is always a little waste, so for easier calculations lets call it 156 can of formula.
156 x $12.00 = $1,872.00
$1,872.00 to feed a baby formula for a year. APPX.

It will depend on what type of formula and how much the baby is drinking. So the best you can do is go for an estimate. Babies tend to drink less as they get older and start eating solid food.
Powdered cans of formula are the cheapest. They can cost anywhere from $20 to $30 (could be more or less than that, this is just a general average) for a large sized can. And, a baby could go through up to 4 or 5 of those cans in a month.

It depends on which kind of formula. Most brand names cost around $23 a can. Newborns will probably go through about a can a week and a half. As the babies get older though, they drink more, so you could go through a can a week. I think in a year, it would cost about: $1100 a year on just formula.

It really depends on what kind of formula the baby is on, some of the hypoallergenic ones cost more than regular, it also depends on if the parent uses liquid ready to feed formula or canned powder. A large can of regular (name brand) formula is around 22.00 a can, a bottle of ready to feed regular formula is around 5.00 a bottle. Once the child is on 8oz bottles the bottles and cans don't last as long as when they are on 2 or 4 oz bottles. There are a lot of factors to determing the exact amount it would cost, but from experience I can tell you it's expensive!!!

just depends on the formula! if they require a hypoallergenic formula those can be a bit costly. if they are on a powder formula then it's a little cheaper, ready to feed and concentrated formulas or just a bit more expensive. my daughter is on powder enfamil prosobee and she goes through the large cans in about 5 days so that's 2 cans a week at $24 a can. so it's around $200 a month to feed her. it's pretty expensive! good luck :)

You also have to add in the cost of bottles, nipples, and the extra doctors appointments and medicine since formula babies are more sick. Figure between 2-3,000 total.
