I'm not sure how "A" follows "B".

Your question only makes sense if the officers knew that this was a pratical joke.

Also, somebody's idea of a practical joke can be quite dangerous. That it is a practical joke isn't relevant ... what happened as a result of it is.

There was a case about a year ago about somebody leaving packages around Boston with blinking lights on them. This person was actually working for marketing for a local radio station.

However, the locals thought that potentially they were bombs, and considering where they were placed, the utmost care was taken to remove and destroy them.

Now ... you tell me ... in the light of 9/11 ... what would YOU have considered an overreaction to this?

No sicker than any other country. I do not taser anyone whether I like their jokes or not. Neither
do most Americans. Do not judge a whole country by the actions of a few individuals.

In America, we still get our @**** beat when we say or do something against another person or group. Come on; this free speech thing does not mean the world is our stage or playground to perform outrageous acts of vandalism's, come on ; you know as well as i do that someone is going to kick someones bu**, that has always been what draws a crowd, Now; why are you really defending that child's actions?

Orlando, which is where I am and where the incident occurred, has gotten rather priggish w/it's authoritative and enforcement tendencies. I would say this is due to the high crime run ups we've had over the past few years,..particularly w/murder.
I looked into moving away from the area, but my work field tends to thrive in urban areas and I'm not opting for Jacksonville or Miami yet.

And may I ask exactly how I as an American played part in this as I was not there? Could you tell me where you live so I can find one example to call your entire country of people a sick group? Wait I would not do that. I don't judge someone according to where they live.

Wow, you are willing to judge a population of over 300 million by the actions of 1 or 2 cops???

Now THAT'S sick.

fighting with police is a practical joke?
If that kid had did that in China or Korea he would have gotten a hell of alot worse than tasered. He would be dead today.

Hey jackass, as an American I take offense that you are calling every American sick because of one thing. what country do you live in so I can call you something because of one little incident you probably haven't heard of. I know I never even heard of the incident ever the hell you are talking about.

It looked like the cops handled it by the book. Suspect on the floor handcuffed. Keep telling the suspect to stop resisting, hit suspect.stop resisting, kick suspect. All the arresting officers yell stop resisting. The crowd is now on your side taser, taser, taser that sob. Good job officers. Lets regroup at the donut shop. Last one there pays. Pay, Pay we don't need to pay, were not going to pay for no stinking donuts. We are the police the campus police.
