USC has the talent to match up. USC also has the coaching. It should be a great match up and hopefully it happens.

It's still early in the season and therefore tough to get a handle on just how good (or bad) each team is. Nevertheless, based on the Tigers' schedule here's my Top Five Teams that have a chance to beat LSU:

#5 - South Carolina. Spurrier seems to have the Gamecocks playing with heart, but LSU gets them at home.
#4 - Kentucky. The 'Cats have the aeriel circus back. This will be a tough test for LSU in Lexington.
#3 - Alabama. Coach Nick seems to have breathed life into a Crimson Tide team that has an experienced & accurate QB and a dynamic freshman RB. Also, let's not forget this game is in Tuscaloosa.
#2 - Arkansas. Throw out the records when these two teams play. Arkansas features the best 1-2 tailback punch in the country, but their passing game is mediocre. Buckle up, 'cause this is gonna be a wild one in Baton Rogue.
#1 - Florida. Timmy Tebow has taken the reins at QB and is running (and passing) wild. Unfortunately for the Gators, the game is at LSU.

All that being said, I think LSU has an excellent chance to finish the regular season undefeated, and will be surprised if they aren't playing for the National Championship.

Hawaii wouldn't beat LSU. Hawaii would barely score.

Anyway....I think that a lot of people are overlooking South Carolina. They have a strong defense and a little speed on offense (Plus Steve Spurrier calling the shots).

Kentucky on the road isn't looking as easy at it did at the beginning of the season.

At Alabama won't be easy.

I think the toughest game on the schedule by far is Florida at home. Great offense, hard hitting D, LSU will have to bring the A game.

Florida and Alabama, but I would like to add that USC better worry about Oregon and Cal.

I'm not a USC fan, but they're the team that I'd expect to fare best against LSU.

Right now, it's USC as a clear #1 in my books, with a dropoff to LSU and Oklahoma. Not that the Tigers couldn't beat the Trojans, but I think they'd have to play an absolutely perfect game to have a chance.

USC's team reminds me of the Miami team that beat Nebraska several years ago. They both look like teams that should be playing against the pro teams on Sundays, not beating up on college teams on Saturday.

Alabama because all the pressure will be on Les Miles and LSU. Not to mention the game will be at Alabama and you know Nick Saban will have the fans and team ready for that game baring any major injuries between now and then.

I'd say LSU......right now they really have to beat themselves. After that, USC, then Florida. I don't think Bama is as good as people think, though it is early to say for sure.

But...................USC would have to bring their A game, and LSU would have to blink for it to happen. That game will be decided by whoever messes up first.

Maybe no team will take them down. Maybe we'll just have to wait until they get caught by the NCAA. I mean, it's cyclical in the SEC. Up for awhile....caught...down for a couple years.....up for awhile....

Do you know that the last year there wasn't at least ONE SEC school on probation was 1985? 1985*!! You get what you pay for. Their boosters are ruining college football, slowly but surely.

Florida.

But South Carolina has a shot this weekend, with LSU's big time receiver out... "Go Cocks!"
