when you walk away, would you even turn to say, i dont love you like i loved you yesterday.

I like the song, but how can you just automatically stop loving someone...I've never known that to happen. whats your take?

Maybe "yesterday" is supposed to be metaphorical. Maybe they've got ADD. Maybe they thought "last year" wouldn't rhyme well with "away" and "say." I dunno. I've never heard the song, and already I'm sick of it.

I don't think it is possible. Once you fall in love with some one (if it's a normal relationship) they always have a place in your heart no matter what the ending result may be. If there were no feelings and the person just "stopped loving you" then they weren't truly in love with you in the first place. That's my take.

Ah, but the singer doesn't say the other person stopped. He asks "when you walk...will you tell me that you don't love me like you did yesterday?" This could be a decrease rather than a cessation.

Sometimes when unpleasant facts come to light, your love-meter reading can drop enough for you to do what needs to be done...like say, "get out of my life."

Yes ridiculous. If you love someone, I mean truly love them, then you never stop loving them. Never. I fell in love with my sons father but he left me for another girl..I told him that even though she said she loved him if it came down to it and he was to get in a wreck or something and lost both his legs and had burns marks everywhere , I would still love him and be by his side..would she...his answer was silence..HA! But now I'm with another man who I love so much...but does that mean I stopped loveing my sons father....nope I still love him because I was truly in love with him...but theres no way I would leave my fiance now for him..true love is forever..not for a day

When people fall *in* love, they can fall *out* just as easily -- and just as quickly. When what they call love is emotion-driven or hormone-driven, it's undependable. When couples *choose* to behave and respond in a loving way every day (no matter how they feel, no matter what the time of month), their love can endure.

i think that can be right because if someone really did something bad then i think your love could fade a little not a lot but when you are hurt by someone you dont feel the same way about them as you did before they hurt you

I've had someone suddenly stop loving ME. But I don't think he ever really loved me in the first place. His loss.
