At what rate must a cylindrical spaceship rotate if occupants are to experience simulated gravity of 0.60g? assume the spaceship's diameter is 32m and give answer as the time needed for one revolution. can anybody help me with this question..

The spinning motion will create a centripetal force of
m*r*w^2, where w is the angular speed, and r is the radius

we want this force equal to
m*0.60*g
so
0.60*g=r*w^2
r=16 m
w=sqrt(0.60*g/r)

a complete revolution is 2*pi radians and w has units of radians per second

so
time of one revolution = 2*pi/w
