Does anyone know of any books they think I would like? I love sci-fi/fantasy and some of my favorite books are Ranger's Apprentice, Alex Rider books, Double Helix, Maximum Ride, Ender's Game, Seventh Tower, Hell Phone, The Bar Code Tattoo, Uglies, City of Darkness, Truesight, The City of Ember, The Giver, etc.
I feel like I've run out of enjoyable things to read at my library and need some suggestions, thanks! I'm a teen, so I'd prefer if books were in that age group.

I always tell young people that if you enjoy reading not to put it in a category. Like teen books vs. adult books. There are a lot of books out there that are very good and no less enjoyable because they are not 'teen' related. So, with that in mind try these books: Glen Cook writes a sci-fi/fantasy detective series that is ferociously funny. Raymond Feists' series on Midkemia is great. John Ringo, Eric Flint, S.M.Stirling, H. Beam Piper, Jane Lindskold, Mercedes Lackey, Dennis McKiernan are all great authors and their books are enjoyable.
If you want to branch out try reading anything by Matthew Reilly, Jack DuBrul, Clive Cussler, Paul Christopher, David Weber, just to get you started.

My favorite series is a trilogy by Lawrence Watt-Evans
Dragon Weather
The Dragon Society
Dragon Venom
He also has a few other series out as well that you may be interested in. The Dune series is pretty cool for all sci-fi/fantasy fans! The Barnes and Noble website is also a nice place to browse around at. You can click on the sci-fi category and look at dozens of books that interest you. I hope this helps. Good luck!

John Twelve Hawks has written the first two books of a trilogy called "The Fourth Realm". The first book is called "The Traveler and the second "The Dark River". They are his futuristic 1984. The story about Hawks is a great story in itself. He lives off of the grid, so to speak.

Try the books by Robert Sawyer, like "Calculating God", "Frameshift", or "Illegal Alien". They aren't specifically for teens but are appropriate for them, I think. One book that I loved that was specifically about teens is "Rite of Passage" by Alexei Panshin. This was a Nebula Award winner:
"In 2198, one hundred and fifty years after the desperate wars that destroyed an overpopulated Earth, Man lives precariously on a hundred hastily-established colony worlds and in the seven giant Ships that once ferried men to the stars. Mia Havero's Ship is a small closed society. It tests its children by casting them out to live or die in a month of Trial in the hostile wilds of a colony world. Mia Havero's Trial is fast approaching and in the meantime she must learn not only the skills that will keep her alive but the deeper courage to face herself and her world. Originally published in 1968, Alexei Panshin's classic has lost none of its relevance, with its keen exploration of societal stagnation and the resilience of youth."
You can still get it through Amazon.

You could try:
The Dragonriders of Pern and the Acorna series (both by Anne McCaffery)
Vatta's War (by Elizabeth Moon, or anything else by her)
Harry Potter (naturally!)
Eragor and/or Eldest (by Christopher Paolini)
The Wheel of Time (by Robert Jordan)
The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and/or The Silmarillion (but I definitely wouldn't start with that one first)
The Chronicles of Narnia (no, they're not just "kid's books")
Song of Eirran series (by Edith Pattou)
Firebird trilogy (by Kathy Tyers)
The Scorpion Jar (by Jason M. Hardy [yeah, it says its part of the Mechwarrior series, but you don't have to read the series to like it])
Le Morte D'Arthur (by Sir Thomas Malory - classic!)
The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy (by Douglas Adams)
I, Robot or The Caves of Steel (both by Isaac Asimov)
Foundation series (also by Asimov)
Twilight series (I've never read this and it's not really my cup of tea, but a bunch of people really brag about it)
