um I don't think much of it really. Why confuse things. Like how would I intruce them. " Hi and this is my best interest"? umm doesn't do it for me. lol

Lets go my parts
TRUE is something conforming to reality or fact; not false, true is anything real, genuine, or authentic. A FRIEND is always a good supporter, a person attached to you by affection or personal regard.
So If you know anyone real and genuine who you feel something for, or the opposite... there you have a TRUE FRIEND.
Proof 1: Do you like someone and would do him/her a favor without getting any thing on return?
Proof 2: Does anyone gave you information or a gift or help without expecting a payback?
CONCLUSION: the quote is false. True Friends exist...
PD: One last think.. if you have not examples of my proposed proffs.. you are travelling your life with the wrong attitude or the wrong people.
Be happy.. but not stu*id!

It is 30% truth and 3 70% lie. I have had 5 people who played on friendship on task, but I have been 3 years with a pal who has stood with me through the worst and helped me again and again even if it almost costed him proffesionally. True friends exist, but they are indeed rare. Should you have/find one give everything you have to keep him. Trust me on that.

I think it has a valid point. I mean, you hear of friends who break away, fight and never talk, etc. On the other hand, how does this quote explain how you know a friend so long that if you asked why you were friends, you would just say...because.

I think in a way it's true because some people that you call your friend sometimes may not have your good interest at heart. People become your friend because it's something about you that interest them. They automatically do not become your friend just because. It's something interesting about you that makes them want to be around you.

possible...it really is hard to find a true and loyal friend...even if you found one....he/she may still have his/her own interest....but not all interests are bad you know...
sometimes they're in good faith...
like me...when i choose a friend...i choose him/her not cus i'm going to use them or abuse them...it's cus i feel he's/she's the one i can be real with. If it ever seems that i'm beeing needy with them...atleast the need is real...not made up to use or abuse as what others are likely do to them.

i think thats true to an extent. however, sometimes people can surprise you. i think that at first when u meet someone, its only true interest. but then the relationship grows into something stronger.

Yeah. That sounds 'bout right. And the 'interest' involved is mostly 'self' interest.
