No it is not legal. Hopefully you got his number....the one on his badge.

You must really be a hottie for him to put his badge on the line like that. To pull you over, there must be probable cause for doing so. If I were in your shoes (and I'm not), I'd report him to his superiors, and if he actually called the phone number, I'd go to the court and ask for a civil protection order against stalking.

I've included a link to a story about a policeman in Lorain, Ohio, who is being investigated for having sex while on duty with different women. Two women even got into a catfight over the guy and he didn't even intervene to break it up. At least one woman felt that she had been taken advantage of.

This kind of behavior may seem flattering at first, but the police officer who pulled you over was clearly out of bounds, and unless you make sure boundaries are set, you could have a nightmare on your hands.

Did that actually happen? Jeez, I'd file a complaint so fast his head would spin. Not just for the sexual harassment (which could definitely be argued, with the use of the siren and flashy lights), but for the waste of police time and resources. I'd object as a woman and as a taxpayer.

No, and if one did so he opened himself up to a nasty lawsuit.

When he turned those lights on, you were legally required to pull over. You were confined without justification.

Chat with an attorney. You might be able to get a few bucks out of this, plus the guy could be fired. Move quickly, because if you wait too long his dash cam video will be erased.

Well, if you wouldn't want to date him, you better be nice!
I think it was a compliment! But they should have a reason, they are supposed to call in every stop with a reason, in case something happens. But it isn't against the law.

It's illegal to pull you over without reasonable cause.
However, under this socialist system, I wouldn't challenge that on court.

If he's hitting on you - no. It's abuse of the badge and I'd file a complaint if you have his badge number.
