It's hard not to suspect she's like a female Sacha Baron Cohen.

I agree with you, to a point. I think she really is a conservative, but I know she has a mean persona she puts on when she goes on TV or speaks. I'm sure if she really ruled the world, she would never take the vote away from women. I think she believes what she says, but isn't a completely abrasive and political person in real life.
I saw her speak at my school, and she was saying things with this awful, droning, whiny, nasal, and low voice. She came across as cold, selfish, and arrogant at times. But then we got to the Q and A section, and the mask dropped almost instantly. The horrible voice was gone, and she sounded real, and normal, especially when she was talking about God and her family. I knew that had to be for real. You could see some ice melting. She has a heart, but a woman's heart doesn't sell books.
She's a believer in the right-wing nation, but she stretches it and takes full advantage of it to shock and make money. I don't agree with her, but I actually find her entertaining. I think if she sincerely offends you, you probably take yourself and politics too seriously. I don't think Coulter makes her points very well, but she is always on the lookout for hypocrisy. I think that's good, even if she doesn't look at her own side as well. Read the articles on the Passion of the Christ in her book "How to Talk to a Liberal". I think those are a good example of COulter at her best, where she cuts through some PC BS, and makes a point humorously without offending.

I'm not sure I know who Sacha Baron Cohen is. I despise Ann Coulter. I think she's for real, unfortunately. She's a mean spirited person. Have you seen her on the O'Reilly Factor? I love how she spaces out. It's so rude. She was brought up in an upper middle class family. How can she possibly know anything about the poor or even the middle class? She can't. She seems incapable of empathy. She is supportive of herself only and people like her.

Yup, she's for real, and the best thing about her is the way she makes liberals get their undies in a twist and then prove that they are every bit as intolerant and narrow-minded as they accuse conservatives of being. Just goes to prove the old equation LIBERAL = HYPOCRITE.
