im 13 and got my period march 2007 and i started using tampons in july and i use tampax pearl lights i read the box and it said for your light days...but i use them for my heavy days...is this normal? im a virgin so i have a small opening plus i have a hymen which i hear can make it just a little bit more difficult to use tampons but you can still use them.

fine as long as you don't leak through them. Being a virgin doesn't really matter. I started using tampons when I was a virgin and I always used the regulars without a problem.

Of course it's normal.... especially with you being so young. Your periods will be be wacky and change alot through the years so be ready for alot of different cycles. It's smart to use the absorbancy that is right for you and not just what is suggested on the box due to Toxic Shock Syndrome. Continue using what you are using until you find that it is not enough.

As long as they're suitable for the flow then carry on using them. It's best to use the lightest ones you can get away with.

Yea its fine as long as your changing it so it doesnt bleed onto your clothes.
