what is so great about the xbox 360 elite system, other than the 120 GB Hard drive and being in black?

Nothing now that the premium comes with HDMI output. But before the premium got HDMI, the Elite was the only way to go to get HDMI output.

They guy above me couldn't be more wrong. The Elite does not have an HD DVD player. You would still have to buy the HD DVD drive if you wanted to play HD DVD movies.

It has an HDMI port and also Built in HD player so you do not need to buy the HD player that they sell as an attachment for the regular xbox

HDMI port, but the halo edition 360 has a HDMI port.
