I think writing is an amazing process for many people who tend to like to think before they speak. I also think they like to write because they want to be heard, and in some cases, even when they have nothing to say.
There is a permanence to writing that conversation doesn't have. And leaving something in writing is sort of a person's mark on the world, their legacy.
I've done some writing and I really like the process of it. It's not for everyone because most writers are alone when they do it...it's not a social process at all. It's just you and your brain.
But when you complete something that's really good and you are proud of what you accomplished, it's the best feeling in the world.

To me it seems that writers are those who have an innate curiosity about the world around them. Writers are people-watchers, studying human nature, wondering what this or that person is thinking and why. Writers like good stories, love to read, love to learn.

At least that's why I write. I think there's also the pull of writing that can't be resisted. You always feel you HAVE to write.

Yours truly. I'm hoping to actually get published someday soon. I've got a story almost written and I'm already plotting a trilogy. I love the creative challenge!
