You are so spot on about this. the abuse of animals worldwide makes me sick to my stomach. Bless you for bringing this to more people's attention. I also love how alot of pro-life Christian people love to hunt down God's creatures for sport. vCan you say evil hypocrisy?????

Saying farm accidents are a punishment from God because people consume animal products, is like saying AIDS is a punishment from God because of what gays do. It's ignorant, superstitious nonsense at best. The article you presented depicts a labor rights issue, not an animals rights issue. The businesses who run the farms are more interested in turning a profit than ensuring the safety of their workers. This is nothing new. The answer is unionization and industry reform, not blaming people for wanting milk and cheese or implying that we should set all the cows free.

What is your point? The poor workers who are just trying to provide for their family's the only way they can, are being punished?
Did you actually read the link you provided?
The link wasn't about animal cruelty, it was about poor working conditions, and wouldn't the farm owner be responsible any abuse of the animals, not the workers?
The farm owner is probably living quite well, I suspect.
This question makes no sense, next time make sure the link supports your assertion, otherwise you just look like an idiot.
Yeah, I know, reported and blocked, big deal!

People "mess" up there own lives. God allows us the freedom to choose. The choices we make and how we live our lives here on this earth, are God's way of weeding out the undesirable one's that were created. We are not born with a sole "we earn it." People without undestanding and compassion will get what's coming to them in the end!!! Be at peace with God "Whom" ever you are convinced the Lord to be!!!!

Well, I'm an atheist with a messed up life but I'm also a dog rescuer. So am I being punished for not believing in God, or am I just an unlucky person?

it is interesting
God created life and all life is a gift from him.
When people slaughter animals effortlessly there are consequences.
i am not saying God actively creates disease but he created laws and principles that govern life.
Mush like if you jump off the roof of your house and break your legs. You wouldn't say god broke your legs.
Similar events like mad cow disease and other food born illnesses.
When you gage society you can look how they treat family and how they gather food. Here in America we trust others to gather our food and raise our children. How can you expect that society to last. Not to say that God will actively judge America, but if you keep jumping of the roof eventually you will break a leg.

Isn't it silly that humans don't like being at the top of the food chain. You have eyes in front and teeth designed for tearing apart flesh. Meat is good and good for you. Eat some.

Not as of yet but the bible does say that God will bring to ruin those ruining the earth. I'm sure that includes people who purposely hurt animals and there environment.

He will see that people are held responsible for the things they have done , one way or another .
Farmers used to raise animals very differently and they had more interaction with them .

Animals are only that. Animals. We have an obligation not to destroy or damage them for no reason. But if it is necessary then that is that. Only humans can have rights. Animals may be protected by laws but they cannot have rights.

Humans mess up their own lives because God blessed us with free will.
If God didn't want us to eat animals we wouldn't have the two fang like teeth for chewing meat. And he wouldn't have made animals so delicious.
