yeah, auntb, she hangs out in Vegas now doing animal rights stuff, but she still plays a lot there. I'm east coast, but I'd love to see her play. She had a sort of Joan Baez with a twang voice. I think she's around 60 now.

I hear Nashville is somewhat less than welcoming to the mature female vocalist. Then again, most industries aren't so thrilled when the T&A start to fade...

She was that Melissa Etheridge rasp before Melissa Etheridge.

I remember her, but that was a long time ago. She used to sing at Ann Arbor when I was there in the early 1970s, and as I recall she was pretty good. Really strong emotive voice. What's she been doing lately? She must be getting on a bit in years.

Yes my favorite was that 70's song "Losing Kind Of Love". What the heck ever happened to her? She really does have a very nice singing voice.
