I have gotten my blood tested for a month now. the first tiime my level was at 64, then the second time it stayed the same. They were nticipating that it was an early miscarriage, so they were giong to watch it untill it went down. the 3rd time it dropped down to 29, then it dropped to 25, then to 17, then ten days later, it went up to 18. it know that's not a big jump, but it's crazy! does anyone know anything about this or had this happen to them before?

Most women can expect their levels to return to a non-pregnant range about 4 - 6 weeks after a pregnancy loss has occurred. This can differentiate by how the loss occurred (spontaneous miscarriage, D & C procedure, abortion, natural delivery) and how high the levels were at the time of the loss. Health care providers usually will continue to test hCG levels after a pregnancy loss to ensure they return back to <5.0

An hCG level that is lower than what would be expected is one reason to suspect an ectopic pregnancy. Low levels of progesterone may also indicate that a pregnancy is abnormal.

Be aware that even when a pregnancy is miscarrying the levels can slightly increase for a while, but not at the rate expected if the pregnancy was progressing normally. For example a serum HCG level of 3,400 IU/L on Saturday, followed by a level of 3,600 IU/L on Monday may be of concern, as the level should be more like 5,000 to 7,000 IU/L. Also it is normal for the HCG level to start decreasing after 12 weeks of pregnancy. However, essentially, after about 8 weeks of pregnancy the use of ultrasound will tend to be more reliable in checking the growth and wellbeing of the baby, rather than blood pregnancy tests, which are more relied upon from 4 to 8 weeks of pregnancy.

The HCG hormone can stay in a woman's blood at low levels for up to 4 to 6 weeks after a miscarriage.

I had a miscariage in July at 7 weeks, in case you're nevertheless bleeding the miscarriage remains going. You hcg stages are going up yet no longer by utilising plenty. once you're pregnant they boost very immediately. Wait till your bleeding has thoroughly stopped and have yet another blood attempt, in the experience that your hcg stages have not lower back to conventional you will be able to desire a D&C. even although the test says each little thing has long gone, there may be a minute volume of fabric left and that ought to reason your hcg stages to no longer pass lower back to conventional. sturdy success, miscarriages ae devastating yet there is alot of counsel accessible to help.
