I have been dying to get to this game the moment I heard that is was going to happen. I got on ticketmaster at 10:07am the day the tickets went on sale and could not find a ticket. They were sold out in less than 7 minutes. I did not expect them to go this fast. Does anyone happen to have 2 tickets that are not a ridiculous price?? Thank you.

Just wait for the rest of them to go on sale............There are still 16,000 tickets to be sold.

42,000 were sold yesterday
15,870 are reserved for Sabres Season Ticket Holders
the other 16,000 will be sold at a later date in Pittsburgh and Buffalo

A little tip for next time. Call ticketmaster prior to the tickets going on sale, then lead the operator on a wild goose chase asking for tickets to stuff in other cities-something like "What do you have in Atlantic City in late December?" "No, that doesn't work for me" yada yada, then when the clock strikes 10:00, ask for your tickets that you actually want. Dirty pool I know but whatever works.
Also, try stubhub, I am sure their are some at a semi-reasonable price.
As for me, I can think of better places to be on New Year's day. Buffalo for an outdoor game. I'll pass.

That are NOT a ridiculous price? Ha! Good luck with that. I'm sure scalpers everywhere are drooling at your last sentence. Check eBay periodically to see if you can find a deal.

Also, a few people mentioned in a question last night that tickets for the Sabres will be sold privately by season ticket holders because the bandwagon will disperse after the loss of Drury and Briere. That said, you may find some people who bought them now changing their minds come December when they find the wagon empty.

there are tons on e-bay for sale
when i went on ebay i was looking to see where they were being shiped from i saw some from W VA AZ OH MD and other states which is BS because why would they let people from that area to buy tickets also they have reserved tickets for the TML season ticket holders and The Toronto Blue Jays season ticket holders to buy tickets for this game which is also BS and i also read that the organization didnt think that the tickets would sell fast b/c its an out door game in Buffalo in January but if they did their research they would have known to limit the amount of tickets per person and would have even limited less or not have let the TMl or TBJ season ticket holders to buy tickets i too wanted to go sooooooooooooo bad but was unable to get tickets

IMHO: a million. Love the belief. I skated exterior a lot turning out to be up. So seeing a professional interest play exterior, its in user-friendly terms slightly historic previous. turning out to be up, skating previous due, thawing around a hearth barrel. the only factor lacking grow to be warm chocolate. 2. Its complicated to devise this type of factor with all distinctive variables. the sector no longer being point, who's commonly used with of how chilly it easily would be, and the snow / rain / sleet. 3. easily host it in distinctive cities with distinctive communities playing. i think of chillier places... and doubtless yet another distant places interest... yet whilst one or 2 communities are keen to champion to be an outdoor classic host, then by skippy, permit's do it! Its like soccer on Thanksgiving! New Years Hockey!!! 4. each time you could fill 70k+ seats for hockey, its a stable factor! the only factor i'm worried approximately may well be the charges to the tickets. That one guy held up the $4 hundred for the tickets, $a hundred for wintry climate clothing... If the tickets incredibly have been $4 hundred, i'm very upset. Outrageous value ticket fees is what's killing the NHL. this type of interest easily delivered extra emphasis that hockey is a team interest, different than for that shootout... they ought to have permit that play till surprising dying... i think of the followers might are transforming into much extra out of it. yet that is merely my opinion. i need to be incorrect.

There will be more

I was talking to the Sabres PR person

1. 15,869 tickets are reserved for Sabres Season Ticket Holders
2. 8,000 tickets will be made available after the season starts and available through the Pittsburgh Penguins and the NHL
3. 8,000 tickets will be made available after the season starts and available through the Buffalo Sabres and NHL

- Season Ticket holders will get the 'best' seats, and the next 'best' seats are availabe as part of the 16,000 being held back.

- So, the 42,000 people who bought yesterday...apparently didn't get the best seats according to the Sabres PR person.
