great feed back, although I have to say
I disagree with the Light Grenades review, I saw Incubus Sept. 2, and they kicked a$$. But I would have to say A Crow Left... was a little weak but not garbage.

Good Q!
For me, unfortaunately it's Rush's latest- "Snakes & Arrows".
I'm the biggest Rush fan I know & I have never had to *work* to like a Rush album...until now. I sure hope time will help it grow on me....

I'm pretty lucky, I like all of Pavement's records. I suppose my least favorite would be Westing, but it was a clear and important record in shaping their sound.
So, I guess to find a record that I wasn't terribly fond of that doesn't make sense as a career stepping stone I'd have to bounce all the way down the band list to I think about #7 which is Frank Black. I am really not a fan of The Cult of Ray. There are actually a couple records in there that didn't hit the mark, but I think that one is my least favorite. A couple good songs, but I remember being afraid that he had lost it. Luckily he came back with the self titled Frank Black and the Catholics record which is just downright amazing.

Pink Floyd is by far one of my favorite bands in the world. I at first was not a big fan of PF when the only album I ever heard was The Wall. After hearing all their other albums besides The Wall and The Final Cut which is not much better than The Wall they instantly became my favorite. Whether it was their psychedelic or progressive albums. The Wall kind of lacked the classic Floyd flavor that I love in all their other albums. Rick Wright was more important to Floyd than anyone will ever know. He was disapearing on The Wall and gone on the Final Cut. All the albums with Wright soar and why I am so obsesed with Pink Floyd.

"Without a Sound" by Dinosaur Jr. Although it contained DJ's one bona fide radio hit, "Feel the Pain", I feel the album was a serious let-down after the fantastic "Where've You Been?" I have to admit I'm more of a fan of the Lou Barlow-era Dino Jr., but a lot of J's albums while using the name had their great moments. "Without a Sound", however, did not.

Metallica - St. Anger
Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero
Smashing Pumpkins - Adore
Incubus - Light Grenades
Marilyn Manson - Eat Me, Drink Me
All of these CDs have at least a couple good songs, if not several. But overall they just don't measure up to previous releases.

Fleetwood Mac ~ Behind the Mask ~and~ Time
Jethro Tull - Passion Play ~and~ Under Wraps
also, Catfish Rising ~&~ Rock Island {only like 1 song from each of those 2}
Led Zeppelin - Coda
Mike Oldfield - Tres Lunas
As RQ says:
Guns N' Roses - The Spaghetti Incident
{the only good thing about that album - it led me to buy a Nazareth album!}

Gee, didn't know Year Zero suffers hate here.
RHCP - One Hot Minute...there's that Pea song, but other than that..
Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight...from hard hitting rock, to poppy rock not made for the rock stations.

"The Spaghetti Incident?" - Guns N' Roses
Good heavens..
It's a covers album, so you could never expect too much.. but honestly..
-sighs-
It's not all bad...
"Ain't it Fun" is probably my favourite cover song by any band, ever.
But overall it's a weak album.
Perhaps because it was the only one Izzy Stradlin hadn't played guitar on.
Either way, something's missing.
RQ.
