Got an offer to trade Steve Smith for Larry Johnson, straight up. My mind says jump on this, but Smith has been amazing so far.

Yep, Steve Smith of the Panthers. LJ is known for starting slow though. There's a reason he was top 5 on every draft board.

Sorry about that.... We start 1 QB, 2 RB's, 3WR's, 1 TE and one team DEF each week. Current roster is:

QB - Kitna
WR - Steve Smith, Javon Walker, Larry Fitzgerald, Ronald Curry, Antwaan Randel El
RB- Joseph Addai, Chris Young, DeShawn Wynn, Maurice Jones-Drew
TE - Jeff King

I need a backup QB, but not worried about that with this trade.

Steve Smith of the Carolina Panthers? Are you crazy for considering this? He is the only 'go to' guy on the Panthers. If they score, it will be with Smith, not running the ball. KC is 0-2 with no game at all...LJ can't do it all.

i might drop LJ. that is a lost season for the Chiefs. they do no longer look to be going to hurry him back extraordinarily with Smith doing so nicely. while you are going to drop any, drop him. Smith may well be #2. Carolina's QB difficulty is shaky at maximum suitable and none of them are high quality starters. i might easily keep Walker. he will initiate playing this weekend and could be a super sleeper for fable team's playoff run.

I have to agree ... you can't even consider this unless Steve Smith shows signs of slowing down ...

Depends on your roster, which you don't provide us. How are your other backs and receivers? It completely depends on that whether or not this is a good trade or not.
