What is the stuff that seals the bathtub... it is kind of rubbery to the touch and goes between the wall and the tub... what is it? I'm asking because a lot of it around my tub has pealed off and I'd like to replace it, but I dont know what its called.

That stuff is called tub and tile caulking available at many hardware stores or in the hardware/plumbing department at discount stores like Wal-Mart or K-Mart. When replacing caulking make sure you remove all or as much as you possibly can of the old caulking and clean thoroughly and dry the areas you want to put on new caulking. This will insure a secure and lasting seal. White silicon based caulking is a bit more expensive but worth the extra because it lasts longer. Hope this has been helpful. Thanks for the 2 points!

Caulk. I use 100% silicone on wet areas. Make sure you remove all the old stuff first and thouroughly clean the surface (I use denatured alcohol) and make sure it is dry before applying the new. Read the directions on the tube and allow to cure fully before using the tub.

It's caulking.

It comes in a tube over in the paint section at your local discount department store.

There are different kinds and colors. You'll want the waterproof one - one made for bathrooms.

You'll need the dispenser gun that goes with it. Both are really low priced. And the replacement is easy to do too.

I think you're talking about caulking. Stuff comes in a tube and can be applied straight to the surface you want. Check it out at your local hardware store to see if this is what you want.
Good luck!
