If a juvenile is convicted of a felony he or she must wait 5 years or until he or she is 21 which ever is longer. If an adult, it depends on the felony but normally its ten years first conviction, life for a second conviction.

You may be able to own a rifle, but def not a handgun. Since you stated it is on your Juvie record, it may not even be an issue. You can go to your local PD and get a handgun purchase permit and they will lwt you know if you qualify. I try to stay out of the PD, so I am not certain

Probably not; there is too much questionable gun control legislation on the books. The Left wants to rob you permanently of your freedoms for any infraction.
However, you might be able to get your record expunged. Might be worth looking into.

Go find one you like and tell the dealer your situation. When you buy a firearm from a licensed dealer, you have to fill out a form. Then, the dealer calls it in to a federal approval center.
They either approve the purchase or not. The dealer can probably tell you what your chances are.
