For a raging headache, you make take paracetamol occasionally throughout pregnancy. Paracetamols far is the safest painkiller for use during pregnancy.
Being tagged as the "safest" however doesn't guarantee it to be absolutely risk-free especially if taken with more frequency during pregnancy.
As I can recall some of the small scale research done with its after effect:
>>taking paracetamol during pregnancy particularly on the late stage is associated with wheezing of the child during the early childhood.
>>Animal studies had pr oven that intake of high dosage of paracetamol during pregnancy can damage fetal airways.
As safety on moderate usage has been established, you may take them but take only if you feel you are really in need.

This is a tricky question. It depends on a few things. If you are allergic to penicillin , in some cases this may also translate to paracetamol allergy. If there are no allergies per se , there may still be danger. Certain antibiotics have been known to cross react with Paracetamol ie. cephalosporins and macrolides. Depending on what antibiotics you have been prescribed you should consult your local doctor about whether it is safe or not. For the most part, taking paracetamol with antibiotics is safe and is a time trusted combination in hospitals but it is always better to be safe.

I think paracetamol is safe during pregnancy. However you may need to check if it safe taking it this early in pregnancy. It is the only form of pain relief my doctor let me have. Just make sure you stay away from aspirin and ibuprofen. Congrats and enjoy!

My midwife told me that paracetamol is the only tablet you can take during pregnancy as it does'nt cross the placenta, so it wont affect the baby in anyway, as long as you follow the instructions on how many you should take as if you overdose it will cause problems

paracetamol is fine during pregnancy (normal doses) as it does not go through the placenta and reach the baby
