God, I hope that's not true. I have a family friend who has lost everything including his old personality to meth... Not that any addiction is easy to get over but it seems like meth changes you in a way that other mind altering substances can't seem to match... It quickly burns a person up from the inside out and leaves only a shell of who that person once was...

More than 33% of kids in my high school were on some form of meth supplied by their doctor....
Most abused it.

By the way, that school has had a 100% graduation rate since it started 7 years ago.

I don't think it's okay and I never did.

I also had a very functional family with parents who allowed me a lot of freedoms so I never felt the need to rebel. I went to a public high school in the suburbs where most of my friends were the "smart, college-bound" kids who really didn't need meth.
If parents took a little more interest in what their kids did BEFORE problems arise, there would be less issues like this. I don't mean snooping around a kid's room. But talk to the kid, have him bring his friends over, tell him stories about people who do drugs and where they end up, etc.

Bummer. While I don't think that drugs are immoral in of them selves, drug use is not well enough understood to keep users or those around them safe, not to mention the health risks.

I'd also say this reflects poorly on parental involvement and public education.

i don't believe the stats but okay

drugs have made a comeback

after all the country went through with LSD, PCP, cocaine, crack, and heroin, people still try drugs

and CIGARETTES

kids really need to be educated on the places this stuff will take them (how bad life will be)
