Yes there will be an end to earth in about fifteen million years at is if we do not destroy her first. the why is simple our sun will turn into a big red giant and when that happens the whole solar system is be burned to a crisp. no live will survive.

Hello,

(ANS) Sadly, I think human beings are already doing an excellent job of wreaking havoc & ultimately climate disaster upon the earth. We are sleep walking to the inevitable because we as a species seem to refuse to see how much damage we are doing to our home the earth. We humans seem to have a death wish? Global warming may well be the end of the human species if we are not prepared to make BIG changes to our lives NOW not in decades time.

We are treating the earth as if we actually own it (which we DON'T) and as if the earths resources are infinite which they are NOT!!.

**Governments & politicians ALL want % economic growth year on year on year, this is how capitalism is destroying the planet. We cannot go on gobbling up the earths limited resources without this having a catastrophic effect of ALL life on earth.

**The earth only has a limited life span even without human beings, our sun has a limited life cycle and will eventually die. This will happen when the sun runs out of its nuclear fuel and then it will expand into a red giant and then collapse and explode in a super nova. The earth will be destroyed in this process as a match stick is burnt to ashes in a fire. But this is unlikely to happen for several billion years yet if man kind survives that long?

The maximum life of earth as of now is 5 billion years. The sun's lifetime is about 10 billion years, of which 5 billions years is already up. As the sun gets older, it will get larger and hotter until all the fuel is used up and the sun will turn into a red giant and engulf the Earth. Likely many billion years before that occurs, the temperature increase from the sun as it gets larger will cause severe global warming effects and cause the ocean to evaporate. Even before that happens though, a collosal meteor hitting us appears to be on the scale of once in a million years which might take out the earth.

The earth will be destroyed when the sun goes nova, which it will when the process of fusion stops. A star of the suns mass will evolve into a red giant, greatly increasing it's volume, so that the orbit of the earth will actually fall within the diameter of the sun.

So that will be it! It's not going to happen any day soon, mind!

Global warning may mark the end of mankind but it will not mark the end of Earth. The Earth will simply be transformed, like it transformed after the ice age. Humans will not be able to survive the climate changes...the heating of the Earth due to global warming but Earth will go on.

When the sun becomes a supernova, the earth is doomed. Not sure how many years we've got, but it will be a while yet.

It will be burned to a cinder without our help! Sol will supernova in about 6 billion years. Have a nice day! ;-)=
