Depends on the issue. Part of being mature is knowing when to do which. You have to follow your gut and believe in yourself then commit to your decision. Sometimes you have to give up for now and try harder later. I went to boot camp a few years ago. I had to give up b/c I kept getting stress fractures. Some of my fellow recruits broke too and decided to go home, get stronger, & come back truly prepared. College can be the same way. Relationships though, usually if you're working really hard & not feeling the results in return you need to level w/ yourself.
