How long do you keep them and why do like having long nails ?

I started growing my nails when i actually wanted to compete with my mum of who can grow the longest. And i started admiring my nails then and realize they are more beautiful when they are long. When i apply nail polish on them, they look just unbelievably nice.

I was a nail bitter for 32years. This summer I began to let my nails grow. Now I get reg. mani/pedi and I do it because it feels good. It's an excellent way to pamper myself after a long hard week at work/school. My nails are no longer that the tips of my fingers just 1or 2mm. I think that it looks sexy, feminine, and classy. I only wear clear polish, cant get into the colors yet.
Nails that are too long can be dangerous I always wondered how do they wipe themselves after a BM (Bowel Movement) and not get BM under those nails.

Mine go over the tips of my fingers, without being extremely long but people ask me where I got my nails done because they are long enough that they think I may have had acrylics put on. I like having long nails because it looks better than having chewed up short stubby nails and I mainly keep them painted with a subtle polish or clear polish.

I don't use fake nail tips anymore,but I use to, and even then,I didn't keep them long.Germs and bacteria can lodge up under them and contaminate.I hate to see long nasty fingernails,that look like they could climb trees.YUCK!!!Now I just keep my natural nails trimmed short.

Just past the end of my finger-tips...very little white. I don't like all the germs and dirt under them and nail polish drives me crazy, so i like this length. If longer, i find they get in the way when typing or cleaning.

I have long nails simply because they make my fingers look a bit more long and slim.

i usually dont keep them too long where they look ugly, but i keep them sort of long so that they dont look like boy nails

i always keep my nails long just cut them a litttle bit very now and then like them long bcuse it looks better then really short painted onews
