you have a virus and need to clean it up. Once you clean out the viruses it may be a good idea to wipe everything off of your system. I wouldn't save or keep any files as they are most likely corrupt files already.

Steps To Clean up Viruses
1
Step One
As soon as you suspect that your computer has a virus, remove your computer from any networks it might be on, as well as from the Internet, so that you don't inadvertently spread the bug to others. Unplug your network cable if you have to.
2
Step Two
If you have virus-scanning (anti-virus) software installed, run it.
3
Step Three
If you don't have anti-virus software, you'll need to obtain some. If you can't get it from a network administrator or download it from an uninfected computer, you can mail-order it from a retailer.
4
Step Four
Start your computer (still not connected to a network) and follow the instructions that came with the anti-virus software.
5
Step Five
Keep running the virus-scanning software until your computer comes up clean.
6
Step Six
Reconnect your computer to the Internet and check with the anti-virus software's publisher to make sure you have the latest updates. If not, download them now.
7
Step Seven
After updating the anti-virus software, run it again until your computer comes up clean.

it could be you have a bad battery....try plugging it in for a while and leaving it alone. Turn it off for about 24 hours and then turn it back on while it's still plugged in.All this means is that you must only use your computer while it's plugged in until you get the battery replaced. If that doesn't work you could have a corrupted file or a really bad virus. At that point I would take it to a computer repair shop; they will charge you to diagnos the problem, but will be able to fix it for you cheaper and quicker or to an electronics store like Best Buy or Circuit City. Both of those places have on-staff computer technicians that will tell you what's wrong for free, but charge you an arm and a leg to fix it. hope this helps!

Many many reasons.

Start with control panel, performance and maintence, administrative tools, event viewer. Check system reports, if you see a red x click it to get details. It could give you a very solid clue.

Possibilities range from cpu overheat, clogged heatsink, fan not running, clogged case vents along to ram faults, if more than 1 ram stick try removing 1, bear in mind some systems will not run with 1 removed, and test. Remove all non essential cards, disks etc. Go to 1 hdd, video card, mouse & keyboard. Could you have exceeded the power rating of the PSU by adding drives, ram, cards etc, is its fan running, is the exhaust very hot.

If you have a spare hdd, try fitting without any other hdd, reloading o/s, then test again.

Try to clean up your PC, I think it is infected with either a virus or a trojan/worm program.

Try booting your computer in "SAFE MODE", to do this, when you turn on your computer press "F8" before the windows boot screen appears. A menu will be displayed asking what mode would you like windows to boot, Select "SAFE MODE" and just wait until it loads the windows desktop. From there, scan your computer using an anti-virus and anti-spyware programs.

If you don't have any anti-virus or anti-spyware programs, you can download the AVG anti-virus Free edition and also the AVG anti-spyware free edition at http://free.grisoft.com .

Viruses bud viruses... either that or you got some jacked up hardware. Id start off with some antivirus scans and malware removers like Adaware or something eliminate that from possible problems then work backwards till you find the answer.

You possibly have a corrupted video driver. Look in the Event Viewer for error messages.
