Does anybody think that Charlie is just concentrating on USC now? He says that they are going to re-start the season due to simple errors that need to be corrected. If he does get the team into shape soon, it will probably be in time for the USC game. Anybody think so too???

Well when they lose to Michigan State they might as well cancel the rest of the season. As a Pitt fan I can say that Michigan State didn't beat us, we beat ourselves. I can't really say Michigan State looked that good, since our offense looked THAT bad and our Defense didn't have troubles with them. Yeah he would probably be better off just trying to beat USC, something he couldn't get done with Quinn, and saying we beat our big rival at least.

No i Don't since the domers can't beat an O-2 team they better be concentrating on everyone of their opponents but most importantly fundementals cause if another terrible team or unknown comes into south bend and hangs a 50 spot on them usc won't really matter

I agree with you 100% Charlie Weis need to get into shape!!
Wait, that wasn't what you said...I'm sorry....
Anyway, in all seriousness. You tell me if it's just a coincidence that any offensive coach that Bill Belichick has under him in his (cheat) first offense looks like a complete genius. I understand that you have to go out and execute the plays on offense, but doesn't it make it just a LITTLE bit easier if you know the defense that the other team is going to run......? I think Charlie is badly missing the "coaches film meetings" that he used to have at New England.....

No. I would disagree with that statement. I think that maybe he is trying to get a whole new attitude into these guys as soon as possible. Hopefully for the MSU game. This is where you are going to find out who your players are and who are riding the pines. I don't think it is a matter of looking ahead.

You also have to remember, Coach Weis said a couple of years ago that he is never going to lose to MSU again. He wants to back that up. So he is getting them in shape as soon as possible.

No...They need to play each game and it would be stupid to just not "show up" until USC...Notre Dame administration/supporters would probably have something to say if they just won ONE game...That would be unheard of...and given that Weis is considered an offensive genius, he better do better...

Even if that is his strategy, it won't matter.

Notre Dame is so pathetic right now that I could see USC easily putting up 60 on them without a problem if they want.

If they dont do something, this ND team might be the first to go winless the whole season.

It's funny, I remember some guy on here say wait until Charlies recruits get to play and that he has to use Ty's left overs. LOL. You got what you wished for!

Charlie Wies needs to get himself in shape before he can even THINK of shaping up anyone else.
Oh wait. Round is a shape.

lol!!

USC should have a 45 pt. spread at least.

Charlie needs to start getting te team ready for next year, they can't even snap the ball in shotgun formation. They are officially the saddest team I have seen in recent memory.
