NO, they stick nothing into your penis. The worst part of a vasectomy is just before they start the doc will give you a shot right in the sac and that smarts like hell, and of course there is some soreness for a few days afterward. The best part is no more worrying about pregnancy ever again.

Clearly the documentory, you watched, had nothing to do with getting a vasectomy.

Are you so naive to think that a 1/2 million men each year, in the USA along get vasectomy's, if they did anything remotely like that?

They only make some tiny cuts. It actually is less painful than a tatoo.

I got mine 20 years ago. No they didn't do anything like that at all. I still have all my parts, and I can still have all the sex I want. The procedure was painless, and it only took 15 min.

There's no need for a man to be catheterized during a vasectomy. The procedure is done under a local anesthetic, not general anesthesia. Catheterization is typically only used with general anesthesia.

I'm just interested. This video you watched, was it on catheterization or a vasectomy?

I think SYMONDS got off on a wild tangent.
When you get a vasectomy, a small incision is made in the scrotum. One tube at a time is pulled out, and depending on the type of procedure, it is snipped. My doctor took 2cm off each one and cauterized (burned) the ends. That was in '77.
I had my procedure done on a Friday morning. I laid around all day with an ice pack in a towel on my crotch and was pampered by my very sweet and appreciative wife. Saturday we went to a cook-out at my in-laws with a lot of teasing. My 17 year old sister-in-law asked if she could see the scar when it healed. Sunday I laid out most of the day and went to work to my mostly desk job Monday. There was no soreness and after my final sperm count 30 days later, I was declared sterile. The sperms that are produced by the testicles die and are absorbed by the body.
Best $200 I ever spent!

I read an article in the past that discussed the options for a vasectomy. One for the use of localized and focused radiation. The idea is that the radiation causes the formation of scar tissue in the radiated area. This scar tissue blocks the flow of semen and problem solved. Very non-evasive which is always a plus in that area of the body!

No. No reason to do that! They are working down in the sac, not on the penis. Only if testicle surgery required a significant length of time would they need to put in a catheter or if the patient was fully sedated.

No tubes in the pee pee...I had mine done at a hospital and the doc knocked me out for about 20 mins. Just be careful when you shower because they don't sew the holes back up. You'll have 2 small holes about the width of a straw at the top part of your sack. They'll scab over in couple of days or so. Good choice!!! I don't regret getting mine.

No catheter involved. Just the shot in the sac, both sides and a different times. A quick cut into the sac and then cut and tie the vas(tubes that carry sperm).

i can see why guys would prefer a man to insert it, 1 because its embarrassing having some chick shove a tube in there, and 2 if you get a *****, you have to insert more tube! haha sorry, but its true. i personally don't care though.

Why do people come up with so many BS theories on vasectomies?
