Its pretty safe to assume the stars of the original 6 teams would be stars today. How would you rate some of the lesser known players? Assume they are with the same teams and place these guys on the line you think they would best fit and their role in today's game.
1) Eddie Shack - TML
2) Ron (Chico) Maki - Chicago
3) Pat Stapleton - Chicago
4) Marc Reaume - Toronto / Detroit
5) Like I'm Telling You - Chicago

Feel free to add others, these are just a few examples.

Yeah but, Like I'm Telling You, you'd be so busy counting your money, you wouldn't have time to share your wisdom. So maybe this is for the best.

I'll be different.

Eddie Shack was a supreme s**t disturber. He would bring an added element to the Maltby-Draper line in Detroit or the Fisher-Neil combination in Ottawa

Chico would look good in Columbus. he had an amazing work ethic and if anybody could get Zherdev's rear in gear, it would be Chico.

Pat Stapleton was an NHL 2nd Team All-Star 3x, and finshed in the top 5 of Norris trophy voting 7 times. Needless to say, he can play defence on ANY team. He could probably still help Chicago today!

Marc Reaume was an outstanding stay at home defenceman who knew how to use the body. He could help a lot of teams too.

Like I'm Telling You was a majestic skater with a lot of brute strength and a hard accurate shot, lacking somewhat as a face-off man however. The only real spot for a talent like him would be in Ottawa on a line with Spezza and Heatley, ............or Pittsburgh on a line with Crosby and Malkin, .........or Minnesota on a line with Gaborik and Demitra.....or Atlanta on a line with Hossa and Kovalchuk...........because he knows he could make them all better!

;)

LMAO - all modesty today Like I'm Telling You

Eddie was weird - he was mean as hell on ice but one heck of a character off ice, real nice personable guy,
