Like no skirts just what shirt would they wear with jeans??

Girls didn't wear jeans in the fifties except to do housework, garden and camp.
Try a pink bowling shirt tied at the waist if you are wearing jeans. (Think Laverne and Shirley)

According to my mom, a teen from the fifties, Once school was over out came the jeans, rolled up above the ankle to the bottom of the calf. She said the coolest thing to wear with jeans was the "boyfriend" shirt, that is-a man's shirt with the sleeves rolled up that you borrowed from your boyfriend. The teens of the fifties also wore "hickey hiders" in other words a bright colourful scarf tied around the neck. The other thing worn with jeans was a tight fitting fuzzy short sleeved V neck sweater, again with the scarf or a strand of pearls. T-shirts with cigarette packs rolled into the sleeves was for tough guys, not for girls. One other look for girls with jeans was the bright Hawaiian print shirt, tied at the waist. And that's what she wore in most of her pictures from her teen years.

maybe a tight white T shirt with a pack of cigs rolled up in the sleeve. maybe a black leather jacket.
