I personally have never really liked my hair short, I don't think it or myself look good with short hair and I like being able to at least put it up in an actual ponytail.

I know some women do not cut their hair for personal and/or religious reasons as well.

Well all women don't like short hair!!!!
Why would they cut their hair short when they don't like it?????????
I think that is the question we need to be asking you!!!!!!
Everyone has
a right to their own opinion right????
I had my hair cut short a couple years ago, because I liked it then, but now for the last few months I have been letting it grow longer, because that it what I like now!!!!!

It depends on personal preference. I've had my hair SHORT, and I grew it really long. Now I am in between, just above the shoulders. Short short hair is too much work for me (I have thick wavy hair which tends to get frizzy in the summer) and long is too much work as well (see above). Some men have long hair, some have short, and some Bic it. It all depends on what each individual likes best for their self.

Some of us like our hair long - it's a personal preference. I used to have short hair but it made me look much older than I am, so I grew it out. Someday I may get tired of it and cut it short again. You never know.

Longer hair is supposedly more attractive to men. Some women simply like to grow their hair.

When I was a kid I always had long hair. Then I "rebelled" and cut it short. Kept it that way for years but now I'm growing it longer... for my husband!

Short hair is much easier to handle, though, but long hair definitely gives a more traditional "feminine" quality.

I have a theory about this.

"The more intelligent a woman is, the more likely she is to wear her hair short."

More recently, I would amend that. Its not intelligence, its ambition and a desire for money and power that I associate with short hairstyles on women. Just look at most corporate offices. Long hair--usually secretary. Short hair--boss.

I still find short hair more attractive/sexy than long

Because of all the fashionable looks you can get with long hair.

Short hair is easier to care for. Men seem to like women who take an extremely long time in the bathroom, combing their hair, checking their make-up, etc, until they live with one. LOL

I like to be able to have different styles and by having long hair i am able to do this. I hate having my hair cut too short as then i cant out it up or make it look particularly different in any way!!!

Plus long flowing locks are an age old sign of femininity!!!

:)

My hair is naturally curly, so the shorter it gets...the "poofier" it gets. Anything shorter than sholder-length and I start resembling a poodle.

I did cut my hair to "boy" length in 6th grade. About 3/4 an inch on top and tapered on the sides and back. It actually didn't look bad at all...except that my brother and I were identical. So...that's out.

Some women prefer appearance over comfort. Personally, I have short hair because after being pregnant and dying my hair it's become unmanageable. I tried having my hair long and it just wasn't easy.
