Neither of the two. Actually DINOSAURS CAME FIRST, as we all know. And we also know that they layed eggs.
Chiks and chicken both came millions of years later.

It was the egg...
Put simply, the reason is down to the fact that genetic material does not change during an animal's life.
Therefore the first bird that evolved into what we would call a chicken, probably in prehistoric times, must have first existed as an embryo inside an egg.

Chicken,because even if the egg hatched the chick wouldn't be able to take care of itself without a mother,so chickens wouldn't have made it.....but that wouldn't have been so bad...
