Ok, I am doing a book critique on the book Lincoln's Melancholy: How Depression Challenged a President and Fueled His Greatness.

It is 368 pages long. The report is due November 19th.

How many pages a day, if I start Sept. 25., should I read by November 8th to finish the book? I want to give myself time to write it.

Just a thought about book-reviewing strategy:

Read the book in major parts at once, because your mind has to accept the main thought s as a whole in order to understand what is being said. This will help you digest and think about the material presented.

Here is my radical suggestion:
Buy the book ASAP.
Read the intro, back cover, table of contents and any synopsis you may find on the Web, etc. to get your mind prepared for what is coming and to already understand some connections, so that when you read them, your comprehension is better.

Then read the book in 3 - 6 sittings, not too many days apart. If it has sections, read a section at a time.
If it has only chapters, say 20, read 4 or 5 at a time.

Then write the review leaving yourself time for a couple drafts. You never know when something pressing and unexpected comes up.

Best of luck!

Why don't you start reading it now. Then you are 6 days ahead of the game. Sounds like an interesting book.

i does no longer experience suitable approximately downloading e book comments. a minimum of if i attempt to verify the beginning up, end and portion of the midsection, i think like I made some attempt. I used to verify the Sparknotes or Cliffnotes and if it had a action picture, i might hire it. yet I did attempt to verify the e book. some books are merely so unreadable.

Read some every day and you will finish it. DO NOT put it off for all it once...then you will not finish
