it was clearly old man river who gave her the gun.
Once apon a time old man river won a prized tea towel in a kitchen bake competition. In 1873 a group of creatures came to his home planet and stole the prized tea towel from him.
after travelling far and wide across many galaxies, old man river stumbled across a group of wookies who he managed to convince to help him in his quest.
The group headed by james the big wookie spent many an hour combing their planet for old man river's prized tea towel. Instead they discover the super galactic ray gun which they gave to old man river in honour of him being the first outsider to arrive on their planet.
After 3 months, old man river decided it was time to leave the planet of the wookies and devote his time to searching for the prized tea towel once more.
Old man river recieved intel from his mega computer that a girl called Janie on earth was in possession of his prized tea towel. He landed on earth and traded the super glalactic ray gun that he was given by the wookies to janie for his prized tea towel. In his quest for the prized tea towel old man river did not think about the consequences which might occur by giving janie the gun.
Sadly we know the rest of the story, and what janie did with that gun.
