i was on an antibiotic for a bladder infection and was supposed to get my period but did not want to deal with the mess so i doubled up and in that week that i was supposed to get it i had sex and now i am nervous cause i do not have my period after the second pack finished. I have been having spotting off and on throughout the second pack of pills. Can you still get pregnant in the time you were supposed to get your period??

You can possibly get pregnant because the antibiotic can make your birth control pills less effective. You should take a pregnancy test asap.

You can get pregnant at ANY time of the month. Pills are not 100% effective (nothing is except for abstinence).

Also, not taking the pills as prescribed will screw with your body, as you are now noticing. I did that once, skipped the placebo week, and it took months for my period to come back during the fourth week pills. Never again will I skip that week.

you can get pregnant at anytime during your cycle whether on the pill or not and the fact you were on antibiotics as well makes the pill less effective. your doc shouldve told you to use extra protection.

Take a pregnancy test, youll soon know
