I have big hips and I guess a big but and my pants are size 18 and the front fits perfect but the back is to big, if i go to a 20 its way to big, and a 16 is to small in back. When im standing up it's fine but when I sit down my pants go down in the back due to my big butt I guess and shows my underwear. I don't wear thongs so no worry there, just kinda annoying i have to wear baggy shirts to cover it up. using a belt hurts because there to tight for me when i sit down it pushes on my stomache.

Rude or inconsiderate comments will be reported. Thanks.

You need to find a brand that has a smaller waist (this way it won't come down shen you sit) and a higher rise. I wear size 7 but my pants do the same thing. They fit on my butt (it's the biggest part of my body LOL) but they the waist gaps out in the back. You have to find a brand that fits in the butt AND the waist snug. Also, if you buy lowrise pants you should be able to wear the belt lower & not so tight that it cuts into you, just tight enough to keep the back even with the front.

Try Angel, DuckHead & Old Navy pants. Some styles fit better than others but your pants are too big in the waist & not long enough in the stride on the back. Believe it or not, they do make pants for those of us with badonka-donks...LOL

I have had sizing problems all my life. If the waist fits, the rest won't, and vice versa. It's very difficult. I can't think of a better solution than the big shirt though. The untucked shirt does gloss over a problem with pants fit, to a degree.

I feel your pain. I have the same problem. I have to wear a 9/10 to fit my booty, but, the waist is always too big. So, when I sit down, the back rides down a bit & what-not, so you can see mine too :( I also hate wearing belts as well. The only thing I have found that has helped is to wear pants that have more stretch to them.

No, I wear low rise but they don't go down enough to show my underwear unless I'm wearing boy shorts or granny pants.
You could use a wider belt, they probably sell them in larger chain stores, or if you're in the uk, dorothy perkins. Maybe try body forming underwear to help you fit into a 16, or knickers to lift your bottum so it fits into a 18 at the back.
Most clothes stores offer alterations, they have information in the changing rooms.

Maybe try pants that have the elastic on the waste. Or maybe try wearing a very thin sleeveless shirt that is tucked in all the way so when you bend down only that shirt shows. Good luck to you.

Try getting your size 18s altered in the back. By taking them in a little bit should help.

Actually, with pants, try with more of a waistband, but as for jeans, it's always happens... with anyone.. Jeans are stiff and have a hard stiffer area where your back is, so.. they pop up.

You may have to consider getting a size 20 and having your pants altered.

it's not just you. i'm skinny with no hips and i have the same problem. even some of the lower rise type jeans do it to me. i think we as women should revolt against the jeans manufacturers and demand they come up with a solution to this problem.
