I have pain in both buttocks for more than 1 week now. I don`t know why, its just started hurting, on the cheeks. Its definatly not damaged tailbone, there is no pain there, its all on the muscles. It hurts and is not getting better. What do i have? Should i see my doctor and get a referral to see a physio? Could a physio help with this?

Yes, see your medical doctor, but it might be your hip flexors. I see a chiroprator for mine. I thought i just needed a massage, but when i kept on saying rub lower, they were essentially rubbing my butt cheeks. So, I went to the chiro, and he has helped me so much, and tought me some things, stretches, and exercises to help.

Since your pain has been over a week I would suggest seeing a doctor but it sounds like a pulled muscle. Try heat to help you feel better while awaiting an appointment.

Seeing a doctor is a good idea. Meanwhile you could try Aleve or ibuprofen at the higher recommended dosage.
